Have you heard of the term Tinnitus? Well if you do, then good for you. If not, let's have some review of what it really is.
Tinnitus is a hearing disorder. It's not necessarily a disease or an ailment but rather it is a symptom that there is something wrong with a person's head, particularly in the ear.
Tinnitus is characterized by ringing sounds or noises that a person hears even though his environment is silent. It's like you are hearing sounds even if you are in a vacuum. In the ancient times, tinnitus is associated with demons or spirits that is speaking to a person in forms of sounds that only the person can hear.
In many tribes, especially in remote tribes of the Amazon, deep forest of Africa or in hidden places in Asia, they still believe in these definitions of tinnitus. They either believe tinnitus is possible because of spirits or because of bad demons that is harassing the sufferer's body.
However, technology enabled us to know what really causes tinnitus. First and foremost, tinnitus is not brought about by hidden forces, i.e. spirits. Tinnitus is a physiological condition wherein some of the parts of the ears or the nose is in an abnormal situation.
Tinnitus may is said to be brought by many factors. A person may be suffering from tinnitus if they have ear infections, obstruction in the ears like earwax, the nose is infected that causes fluid build ups, thus trapping noise inside the ear and bouncing it back and forth making repetitive sounds or simply an injury inside your ears due to sensitivity to loud sounds. Tinnitus can also be caused by irresponsible drinking of medications such as aspirin.
Over the long period of time, man has not created any permanent cure for tinnitus. There are many prevention and maintenance medications but nothing can make long term cure as of the moment. I say just be clean and be careful. Stop listening to too much loud noises. Aside from the fact that it doesn't sound really good, it also can result in you having tinnitus.
