ayurveda Kitchen Pharmacy Interview
Name of your website?

Kitchen Pharmacy

Your name?

Dr. Rajkumar Reghunathan

Your Location (city, etc)

Trivandrum, Kerala,India

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Empowering Ayurveda and Siddha Vaidya practitioners to be self sufficient in making their own remedies spanning 64 different types of herbal preparations.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I want to share ancient herbal medical secrets with the world, especially for Ayurveda Practitioners who are dependent on different multinational companies for their medical requirements.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

January 2008

How did you decide on a name for your website?

Any remedy for promoting human health should ideally be made in one's own kitchen to make it accessible and at the drop of the hat. Remedies for complicated medical issues can be addressed in a humble kitchen with the right knowledge.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

It helps promote a very special and unique knowledge system.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To generate more and more students for the institute.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

I have a specific goal to train 20 students at a time.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I made this site myself. It only take time to change the appearance. I am satisfied with this site since it is not supposed to be dynamic in the first place.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

My aim is to get 20 students. Nothing more.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

None

What has been your biggest challenge?

Designing the site

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Suggesting for reviews in directories since the crawlers are crawling regardless.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

I would like a bit more bells and whistles while the site appears professional.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

For 2 months and would like to continue for long years.

What is your website address?

Kitchen Pharmacy
