e-parasites.co.uk Interview

By Interviewer at 07/03/08 16:28

Name of your website?

e-parasites.co.uk

Your name?

Karolina

Your Location (city, etc)

Glasgow

Please give us a short summary of your website?

It is a website about parasitic infections. How to treat them, prevent them. Also it has few interesting diets in it and lots of useful tips on how to stay healthy.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

One of my friend showed my similar service but in Polish so I decided to ytranslate it into English and add few bits and pices.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

My frirst website was www.prolifepolska.info and it was about ProLife movements.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

It was really difficult. My whole family halped me. It was great fun to run a competition: who will find something that I would like.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

I put a lot of time into it. And what is more important I try to write personal information.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To have a lot of people visiting my website and to add all possible parasites. After that I think of opening another service. Maybe about other diseases such as obesity.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

The more time I put into it the more I get out of it. Simple like that.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

I think I would have to sacrifice my other interests but since I like science I do not think I would have problems.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Promotion. This one I did not even though about.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

adding website to the web directories. And few adverts in local newspaper

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

It took and it takes me more time that I thought. But I think the hardest was beginning.

What is your website address?
