Please give us a short summary of your website?
This is a promotional site about my Naturopathic Services. A Naturopath is a Nutritionist and Herbalist - someone who uses Natural Medicine to treat clients with illnesses, or even better - to give healthy clients advice that will give them an optimal chance of staying healthy.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
I want to rpovide great health info to people across the World. Information about topics that many people would love to know, but are just unaware of where to start. Things like the Extremely Toxic effects of Canola Oil - it should not ever be used for human consumption AT ALL. It has been strongly implicated in Macular Degeneration (or Blindness), and when fed to rats caused a significant reduction in not only their own life span, but also an even more significant reduction in the lifespan of their offspring!!! Read my website for more health info.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
In the mid 1990's I created a website about flying in the outback of Australia. I have done alot of travelling, and included many of these photos in my site.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
I wanted to project an image of confidence, and the last stop practitioner for those who have been to see everyone else, and wanted to achieve really great health results.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
The variety of therapies that I offer - in addition to Naturopathy, I do alot of work with visualisation. The role of the mind in healing is perhaps more important than nutrition itself!
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
I would like to become well known in my field - an authority on Natural Medicine. I aim to become the person that people who are committed to their health can come to and achieve extraordinary results in healing - including autoimmune diseases, and even so called incurable conditions.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
Success is not an overnight achievement. Real success can often mtake many years to achieve. It is the same in healing the body from a serious illness. Heal;ing often doesn';t occur overnight, and the more serious the condition, the greater the committment may be required to reach the goal of fantastic health.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would like to create many eBooks, audio programs and videos teaching people how to heal themselves from almost any condition. I have already approached several large organisations, such as the Cancer Councils, Diabetes foundations, MS society, etc, offering my advice but so far have been knocked back. I would love to be able to reach alot more people and give them hope.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
There are many good naturopaths that I know peronally who I would love to employ, and heaps more really great naturopaths who I am yet to meet. If my site got really, really big - I wouild employ these really great Naturopaths and create one of the finest healing centres in the World.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Clients who come for one or two or three visits, and them give up on tyhjemselves because healing that will take 6 months or longer is just too much for them! In 6 or 12 months timew, they will still have the condition, but with just a little extra effort each day, they could potentially cure themselves in that timeframe.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Convincing people the benefits of Natural Medicine.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
A google search listing.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
I get a lot of hits, and many enquiries which I can't personally answer due to running a busy practice, but very few bookings come from my websitre - maybe 5 - 8% of my total consultations.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
I have had trhe site for over 3 years, and will keep it running indefintely. I get many hits each day, and regular good feedback comments so I know people are benefiting from the information I provide. That being the case, even if I don't make $1 from my site, I don't care - I will keep it running just to provide the information.
What is your ultimate goal?
Working with the mind, I aim to achieve consistent cures for serioous conditions - possibly even autoimmune disease, and even more serious conditions - legislation prevents from saying the big 'C' word, as no-one can say that they can cure that condition. I belive the legilsation is th ewrong way around - as Natural Therapists we are not allowed to give people with terminal health conditions some hope, and yet the Doctors are able to sentence them to Death! I Doctor is allowed to say "You have Cancer, you will die within such nad such a time frame." A Naturopath, on the othyer hand, is NOT allowed to say "You have Cancer, lets do this, this and this, and see if we can't extend your lifespan and QUALITY OF LIFE, perhaps even by several years!" It is illegal for us to say that - and we can't even promote ourselves using the 'C' word in ANY of our advertisements. There are many therapies that have been shown in SCIENTIFIC CLINICAL TRIALS that we can't then promote to people in the hopes of improving their quality of life, and possibly increasing their life span. That, to me, is wrong!
Thanks for reading, I wish you all the best in health.
