Q&A: MRSA with urinary tract base

By Blog Answers at 01/26/09 15:37

On 01/07/09 16:28, katy paty asked the following question:

MRSA-Is there anyone out there that has dealt with the urinary tract base for this disease? I have been living with it for 3 years.

Answer #1 On 01/26/09 13:04, health Sheri from Northwestern PA answered:

I haven't specifically dealt with MRSA in that particular region. However, my daughter had it right at her bikini line and it invaded downward and inward.

The doctor said that they had seen higher incidence rates of MRSA with people who use a razor to shave in the bikini area. Not to get personal, but that could be part of the problem (or not).

When you get a bump, make sure to keep it clean with soap and water (and not antibacterial soap...just good old regular soap!) a few times a day to cut down on the number of bacteria swarming around there on your skin.

If you are shaving that area (or close) try to avoid doing so for a little while until you see of it helps.
