'How do you recognize MRSA'

You may have a red, swollen bump under your skin. You have been hearing much lately about MRSA which is now under two subsections of types. There is HA-MRSA which is the healthcare related type and then there is CA-MRSA, which is the newer community acquired type that is really becoming alarmingly prevalent.

How do you know if you have this skin infection? What are the symptoms of MRSA? The CDC, NIH and even the Mayo Clinic is coming forth with much more information than I could have possibly found at the beginning of the year. My daughter came down with MRSA in January, at which time I found a local medical community that was lackadaisical at best about the sudden onslaught of this in the community.

Read, watch, make yourself aware of what to look for. This is abviously a plague that isn't going to go away quietly. We have created this monster with our rush to the doctor's offices to get an antibiotic when we stub our toe. We wash our hands with antibacterial soap (which only makes our germs learn from that and grow to ignore it).

Do you have information of MRSA afecting Puerto Rico? I live there and think i have MRSA.

my grandson is 1yr old and has had 4 out breaks in 2 months 1st time he spent 2 weeks in the hospital.His 1st MRSA was the worst on his chubby little butt cheek.Now he gets what looks like a large infected pimple with a hard knot around it.He is allergic to vancomisin using other antib.will clear it.

i have mrsa rite now, i know a lot of people might not like medical treament but if you think you have mrsa please tell a dr. cause a bunch of people die from this so please make your dr. aware.

i have had it before twice.

one on my leg and it swelled up like a orange under my skin, then one on my arm the size of a mini golf ball.

but i wonder how i got it?
