Hi wendy. I also have the same problem when I was younger, constant migraine attack. And I agree that some of those prescribed by medical professionals in the hospital do not work 100%. Having said this, my family helped me find a good way to get rid of this migraine or at least ease it better than what prescribed medicines can do.
The first option we use, and is using until now, is an ancient Chinese alternative therapy, acupuncture. It helped me a lot in dealing with my migraine attacks. You will just have to endure the needle insertion into your skin and sometimes into your main muscles. But I guarantee you that its no pain at all. It's actually amazing how they were able to insert such needles into the body without letting the patient feel any pain.
For many years of engaging in acupuncture, I noticed the migraine attacks were persistent next to none, I had a full 2008 without a migraine attack, but is still continuing my acupuncture sessions for complete cure.
Chiropractic is also now a booming industry when it comes to curing migraine and other body status illnesses. I know a little about it and have only seen one Chiropractic clinic in my area but I believe they aim to put the balance in the body and cure any illnesses it has.
Also, my friend told me the eating ice cream or any cold brain-freezing food can lessen the migraine attack. I don't know how true this is, but he says that cold stuff can temporarily freeze the sources of migraine in our head. I will still have to verify that though, but there's no way I can verify that myself right now as I am not having migraines for the past months.
