Please give us a short summary of your website?
Provides step-by-step guide to healthy fresh fruits and vegetables juicing. Also features the many types of fresh fruits and vegetables that have immense healing properties. This site teaches safe juicing, and the best juicer to use in order to preserve the fragile enzymes and nutrietnts.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
Living in a country that is multi-cultural, Malaysia, gives us the benefit of a vast variety of food. However, because Malaysia is a food haven, people have neglected to eat healthy. Drinking fresh fruit and vegetable juices is the best and easiest way to consume nature's high quality nutrition which are quickly assimilated by our body. My mission is to reach out to more people about a healthy lifestyle that incorporates drinking juices on a regular basis.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
September 2005, and still going strong. I add new pages every month.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Short and easy to remember and says exactly what I intended to do with the site. And it was available !!
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
This site is different because it provides all information about fresh fruits and vegetables in their best form. I go the extra mile to show how we can combine juices for best effect. There is also honest recommendation on safe juicer to use which is unknown to most people who drinks juices but who are in fact, causing harm to their body.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
This site is for keeps for now. It is my mission to reach as many people as possible about living a healthy lifestyle that incorporates juices which provide quality nutrition. I have received many email from people who stumbled upon my site, telling me how much my site has helped them.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
My success is when I receive email from people who thank me for the free information I have on my site which have helped them. These have been many and the investment of time and money put into this site has been worthwhile.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
Won't change very much but I will add in more related contents and probably write an ebook.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
I'm looking forward to that day !!
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Cost of hosting my site is rather high but it has been worth it. I have made them back and much more.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Sourcing for the right products to sell online.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Google and Yahoo.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
It was actually much easier than I thought. I use SBI, so contact me if you want to know more.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
I have had my site for over three years now and have enjoyed the journey. I don't enjoy big gains in income but enough to cover my yearly hosting fees.
What do you think of this World Website Directory?
I think you guys are doing a great job. I've never come across another site who is willing to do interviews with small sites like mine. But if my site (and this interview) really got mentioned, I would think this is fantastically awesome !!!
