What inspired you to launch your website?

I wanted to provide healthy foods to weight loss patients and health-concerned people across Canada. Since we carry specialty and imported items hard to find elsewhere, I wanted a better way to showcase the products.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

This is our first retail website.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

It is the name of our corporation!

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

We supply only the best, hardest to find, healthiest, and great tasting products at a reasonable price, at par or lower than the competition.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To build up the company and help as many people as possible. Also i wish to turn this into a distributorship.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Almost all my time is spent on this company and website, to protect my initial investment as well as current investment in stock.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would improve the graphics, number of products, delivery and product prices.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes, we've recently purchased a large warehouse and have several people wishing to join our sales and management team

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Product negotiations going awry, gas charges for delivering to our retail stores, insurance, lower-quality products being returned.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Convincing the manufacturers and distributors to provide us with better product pricing so as to keep our retail prices as low as possible.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Word of mouth.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

More initial learning/work that expected.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

Only up for one month, but will continue to run for the foreseeable years.
