ThE healthy living board is a new discussion forum where members who sign up can discuss health related topics such as healthy living, general nutrition, vitamins and supplements, natural cures and remedies. It is free to join.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
I am very much interested in trying to live a healthy lifestyle and wanted a way to meet others who are the same. Wanted a way for people to share thoughts and opinions about health and nutrition.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
This is my first website and was launched just a few days ago.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
It was simple, direct and to the point.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
I believe I offer the only real "complete" discussion forum for this type of topic (health and nutrition).
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To obtain members and to help the message board community grow, perhaps worlwide.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
Operating a message board continues to take much of my time, usually every day. I believe it pays off though as the more you put into it the more you get back.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
This site does not cost anything for me to run nor put together, budget is not an issue.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
None at the moment.
What has been your biggest challenge?
The site design and getting the word out about it's existance.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Sending invitations to various health companies asking them to include my site on their own site.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
Since this site is so new I am unable to give an opinion about this particular question. I will know more when the site has been operating for a bit more time.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
The site has been running for only a few day. I will continue to try and increase it's popularity through link exchanges and invitations but with a discussion forum lack of traffic is not good.
Is your site a unique site?
Yes it is.
If you search the internet you will not find many sites like mine, at least a complete site with as many features as I have. Most sites like mine are somewhat basic and not very user friendly not to mention they lack depth and creativity.
