Please give us a short summary of your website?

KinActive strives to bring premium products and services to Toronto in a manner that is simple and approachable. We provide direct consulting to a variety of health and fitness needs and supply a wide variety of premium products to enhance one's day to day life.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

Certain aspects of healthcare have been difficult for people to access. I could not source out a rental facility for a TENS unit for my wife for her delivery. I decided to bring that, and other difficult to source products and services to to public, and that is how KinActive began

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

Fall of 2007, we began a just a site to arrange TENS rentals and instruction for women, and it just expanded as people indicated things they wanted.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Time is always valuable. Right now, I try to get time in after my full time work and raising a baby. It's hard, but I have a good business partner and we all work in those "quiet moments" to get things done.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Kinesiologists have been really disregarded traditionally. We are looked upon as just glorified assistants in the healthcare field. My background is a bit more varied, including occupational therapy and physical therapy, but most people in the field see me as "just a Kin". I think that has been the most difficult aspect of this - getting others to take this endeavor seriously.
