What inspired you to launch your own healthcare website?
Posting the availability for chiropractic services in our communities is why we maintain a website. Postural stress is a common by-product of prolonged computer activities. We can help keep people going...
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
This is my 5th website. All are related to chiropractic services or advocacy. Some are much more complex and others even simpler. The web just allows one to be creative and effective at the same time.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
The company name needs recognition and so does chiropractic in the Philippines.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
We have acquired the brand name for the profession and there is alwys room to improve or expand the concept from where things are today.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
This is a permanent presence on the internet for this company to keep a public face with our respective communities.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
Obedience to the basic laws of success always is gratifying and keeping a balance of home and work comes with maturity and experience.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
Unlimited fnding would allow us to offer our services to the entire community and not just those that can afford to pay for an imported speciality healthcare service. Now that would be rewarding!
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Not really as there is a severe lack of available chiropractors in the Philippines. Until we have the ability to train chiropractors localy, like in Manila, this will remain a manpower challenge and a loss for the Filipino people until we do.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
The poorly managed and business unfriendly protocols of the various Philippine government agencies are most frustrating; especially that after 35 years of being in business in other regions that experience could in no way adequately prepare me for this chaos.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Communicating the value of chiropractic and how the significance of this healthcare approach available to Western countries for 110 years is now here to stay in the Philippines.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Honest approach and a simple design and just including the URL on everything we print.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
This is old hat to us. It is always exciting to see someone walk into the clinic because they found us on the web.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
The site was launched two months ago, in June 2007 but there is no timeline to terminate its presence.
What is so unique about your profession or service?
Everyday people die from drug reactions, drug overdoses, unnecessary surgeries, and compromised health due to a failed philosophy in healthcare advocated by the pharmaceutical companies in search of unsatiable profits. Relief, relief and more relief is the promise but true health comes from making informed decisions and living by healthier lifestyle choices. We bring serious and viable alternatives to this dead-end road and we do mean dead-end!
