On the other hand if you want something that is completely fresh, healthy and ready to get your day off to a great start.. consider this... a nice mix of some 1/2+ lbs of fresh fruit and 1+ lbs of fresh green veggies. Nothing artifical added. Vary the selection of fruits and vegetables every day for a new taste. This morning I happened to throw this stuff in the blender:
Red Clover Sprouts 250 gr. Right out of the sprouter, never a moment in the fridge!
Raspberries. 143 gr.
Fresh basil 15 gr.
Chinese cabbage 102 gr.
Arucula 46 gr.
Spinish 87 gr.
Swiss Chard 60 gr.
Pineapple 152 gr.
1 tablespoon freshly ground sesame seeds
1 tablespoon freshly ground flax seeds
Don't measure it... just add some to the blender and a bit of water.. maybe 1-1/2 cups. In the end you might find the color less than attractive... but it will have a wealth of flavor and health.
I don't think the basil is over powering... Radish sprouts can be. So can Mustard and Broccoli sprouts. The key is just to use a variety of ingredients and to vary them.
Just don't think about adding anything like sugar or honey. You should use only whole, fresh fruits and veggies... organic if at all possible.
