The Soothing Theraphy For Trauma Patients

By Dr. Boolittle at 05/17/08 21:38

Every now and then, we often heard news about people getting caught in an accident or a life threatening situation. During this time, patients undergo what we call trauma of their state of being shock, disbelief, and even fear.

Trauma often is caused by accidents, but some are man-made traumas. Scientifically, trauma is divided in two categories, Physical and Psychological Trauma. Under physical trauma, we have what we call Blunt Force trauma - caused by strong impacts like cars crashes, and the other one is Penetrating trauma - a type of trauma that is caused by a penetrating object that went to a person's skin or flesh, major example is when a person is shot by a gun or was stabbed by a knife. Psychological trauma often is caused by stress, depression, problems or some are caused by others. Sending a person a death threat or making psychological injuries to them may cause traumatic actions.

While western countries deal with traumatic situations using the innovations of Science and Technology, most of the Asian countries do not really rely on them. Although there are favorable number of science believers in some Asian regions, the ancient beliefs and practices are still the more dominant ways to deal with this situations.

The oriental medicine is known for dealing with traumas with the use of Aroma Therapy. It is done with the use of some herbs and plants that secret a mesmerizing smell that really calms a person's mind. They said it penetrates the person's body terminals or what we call the chakra and the chi. This practice is actually being done not only in Asia but it has already spread throughout the word. This is actually a normal service offered in many beauty and wellness spa and clinics.

Aroma therapy is a soothing way to give a person that clear, clam and focused mind that results in a person's awakening from trauma and eventually recovering from it.
