Please give us a short summary of your website?
Information and contact about ADHD coaching for those who are struggling with any day to day challenges that many with ADD tend to go through. Provides, lots of info about who we are, and actual client testimonials
What inspired you to launch your own website?
To promote the service. I'm in the same boat as many others with ADD and things haven't changed much as far as us knowing that there are trained professionals who work with those with ADD specifically. Mostly, there isn't much out there yet in regards to the quality care needed for this very real condition that affects millions.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
First site, many amendments to it over time in the past year.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Easy one. Company name, company site.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
Not much different in the generic sense. Does provide more specific personal information about me, but not about any of my associates.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
That door is wide open. A combo of many things. Ideally to be self-employed, but I'm very happy with my full time work and doing this in addtion to it. Knowing I'm making a difference helping others change their lives for the better is something I've always wanted to do, but never could find a way to make it happen. Thankfully now I can, and have been for almost 3 years.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
This is a passion which makes it easier. Getting paid for something I love to do is the ultimate win/win scenario. The extra time and investment into the company is all worthwhile no matter if it's lucrative or just sustains the basics. As long as I'm not losing money as a result, then it's more than worth it.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I'd hire a web service, a few virtual assistance and would advertise in various different areas that I currently won't do due to overhead.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Not right away, but that's a challenge I'm hoping will find me sooner than later.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Not enough space for this one. Let's just say that I deal with everything in stride these days. I don't get caught up with the little BS stuff and work my way through more efficient areas that are better for the long run. There's barriers in anything we do, how we deal with these areas is where the real fun begins.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Getting certified to be an ADHD Coach while working full time and raising an infant all at once. Very rewarding, but tiring as well.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
I have a few doctors who refer patients to my site. Business cards are generally the best way. And of course referrals are always the greatest way.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
I had no expectations. The only part I struggle with is trying to make it perfect, which I don't think exist. I'm happy with the result based on the amount of time/energy spend on it.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
Been up for 12 months. I'll continue it for as long as I keep getting those clicks from people who are inquiring.
